Deputy Director - Shared Services

Our client is seeking a Deputy Director for their Shared Services division. This role, based in the heart of Bangkok CBD, offers an exciting opportunity to lead strategic initiatives across various shared services functions such as air, sea, road operations, customs brokerage and control tower. The successful candidate will be responsible for aligning operations with organisational goals, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

What you'll do:

As the Deputy Director of Shared Services, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our client's shared services functions. Your leadership will be instrumental in aligning operations with organisational goals, maintaining productivity levels, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will also be responsible for developing budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities, managing risks, ensuring compliance, and leveraging technology to enhance service delivery.

• Develop and execute strategies for shared services functions.
• Monitor and manage day-to-day operations of shared services centres.
• Supervise and mentor managers and team leaders within shared services operations.
• Develop and oversee budgets for shared services functions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure service delivery meets expectations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
• Leverage technology to automate and enhance shared services delivery.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Deputy Director - Shared Services role brings a wealth of experience in shared services or operations. With your strategic thinking skills, you have a proven track record of leading large cross-functional teams. Your technical proficiency extends to CW1 systems, workflow automation tools and analytics platforms. You understand the importance of performance metrics and SLA management. Fluent in English, your strong communication skills enable you to effectively manage stakeholders.

• Master’s degree in business administration, management or related field is preferred.
• 10+ years experience in shared services, operations or similar roles.
• Certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma or relevant functional areas are advantageous.
• Technical proficiency with CW1 system, workflow automation tools and analytics platforms.
• Strong understanding of performance metrics and SLA management.
• Fluent in English.
